Powdery mildew is caused by the fungus.
Powdery mildew causes a grey-colored powdery growth to appear on both the upper and lower surface of the plant’s leaves. The disease appears in the form of whitish patches on both the sides of leaves. These patches gradually grow in size covering a maximum part of the lamina which gives whitish green appearance.
